On Thursday 24th May there will be an assembly to recognise those students who gained NCEA Level 2 or 3 with Excellence as a result of their work in 2011. Along with their parents recipients will be invited to attend morning tea after the assembly. Please check to see if your name is on one of the lists below. If it is not on the list but should be, please see Mr Bergin as soon as possible.

The Wellington College Open Day will be held on Saturday 23rd June, starting at 10.30am. This is an opportunity for those students who wish to attend Wellington College in 2013 and their whanau to hear the Headmaster speak about the school, meet Heads of Department and view the facilities which Wellington College offers.

The Year 11 Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place from 3.30pm on Thursday 24th May in the College Hall.

An email has been sent out to Year 11 parents.

To make bookings with your son's teachers:

2. On the front page enter in the School Event Code – 9K24N.

In some cases, you may find that a teacher is already fully booked. This could be due to the teacher having multiple classes. In these cases, your son may have other information from his teacher about booking an interview.

This annual event will be held on Friday 8th June, starting at 7.30am. It is open to all Wellington College students and the significant males in their lives. This year's guest speaker is former Wellington College Headmaster, Mr Harvey Rees-Thomas. Tickets are $20 per person and will be available from the Bursary from 28th May. This event is likely to sell out, so be in quick to avoid disappointment.

Normally students have a late start on Friday so that teachers can meet together for professional learning workshops and groups, but due to the Year 9 and 10 Common Tests, school starts at 8.50am for everyone this Friday.

Year 9 and 10 Common Tests will take place in Week 2 from Wednesday - Friday (2nd - 4th May).

General Instructions:

• Each Common Test is 50 minutes long (1 period).
• Period 4 starts at 1:20pm for students that have a Common Test, otherwise period 4 starts as per normal at 1.30pm
  
• If a student has a clash of Common Tests they are to see Mr Clark (IC) in L10 or the relevant HOD (Head of Department) BEFORE Week 2.
  
• When the Common Tests for the options are on, if a student does not have that particular option, he is to report to his normal timetabled class

Room Instructions:

• Students must know the names of their option classes eg (9Z HIS) to be in the correctly assigned room
• No eating allowed
• No mobile phones or similar devices permitted (these must be left in your bag and turned off)
• Bags must be left at the front (or rear) of the room
