Thursday 26 January: Induction for all Years 10-13 students who are new to the school in Firth Hall at 10am.

Monday 30 January: All Years 10 to 13 students report at 10am.

Tuesday 31 January: Powhiri for Year 9 and all other new students and their families in College Hall at 8:50am. Please report to the Terraces.

Wednesday 1 February: Day 1 timetable for all students starts at 8:50am.

At Wellington College students are responsible for coming to class on time with all the equipment needed for each lesson. Please download the stationery list for your level, work out what is required for the subjects you are studying and take the form with you to the Bursary when you purchase your stationery.

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority has released the 2011 NCEA results online. To access your results you will need your National Student Number (NSN) and your NZQA password. If you have forgotten your password, you will be able to reset it through the NZQA website.  If you get completely stuck, the friendly team at NZQA will be able to help you out through their toll-free number - 0800 697296.

If you have failed to meet the prerequisites for your 2012 courses or you wish to make changes, you must meet with your Dean to discuss your modified programme.  For 2012 Year 13 students, these interviews will be taking place on Tuesday 24th January and for Year 12 students on Wednesday 25th January.

We have introduced a new system for stationery sales for 2012 in conjunction with OfficeMax.

From the middle of December we encourage you to order your son(s) Back to School Stationery online at www.myschool.co.nz/wgtncoll. Stationery lists for each year group will be available at the site. You can also order in-store, by Freephone, Freefax and Freepost – see the website for details.

Wellington College benefits from the school educational supplies rewards programme. Every order placed online at www.myschool.co.nz/wgtncoll until 29th February 2012 contributes to our school’s 2012 reward.

The delivery date can be selected at the time of ordering and the payment is not processed until the order is despatched. Delivery is to your home or workplace by courier and there is no delivery charge for orders over $57.50 (incl.GST). Any order placed before 18 January 2012 is guaranteed to be delivered to you before school starts.
The Stationery Shop will continue to stock limited supplies of all items.

Note: Subject workbooks and subscriptions for Languages, Music, Social Studies and Maths are to be paid at the school stationery shop at the beginning of the year.

There are a number of sports that unfortunately require subscriptions payable at the beginning of the year. These are badminton, basketball, bowls, floorball, football, golf, handball, hockey, rugby, table tennis, tennis, touch, underwater hockey, volleyball and waterpolo. Payment for these sports can be made through internet banking or the provision of a credit card number as well as the normal payment of cash or cheques sent to the bursary.

Forms for this can be downloaded here: Year 9. Year 10-13 Hard copies regardless of method of payment should be sent to the bursary. Year 9 registrations are due 20th Jan, Year 10-13 3 February.
Sports which do not require immediate payment or no payment at all will be advertising during school time on MyColl and through the daily notices. These include AFL, athletics, croquet, dragon boating, league, mountain biking, multisport, orienteering, road cycling, sailing, smallbore shooting, softball, surfing, swimming, ultimate frizbee, waka ama .

Cricket and rowing operate separate registrations.

We were overwhelmed yet thankful for the number of students who applied to become Peer Support Leaders. It was a very difficult task to choose 90 leaders from a list of 120 students. Please understand that you MUST attend the 2 full days of training to qualify for your Peer Support Certificate and Badge.
